Limestone is a very versatile material which is used extensively in industry. It has applications such as fillers and additives in many industrial processes from tiles to paints. It is used extensively in the glass making process, as a filler in construction applications such as asphalt; and as a flux in steel and other metal industries. It also has uses as an agent to neutralise or adjust the pH balance of many processing operations.
